Describing themselves as an ‘art gym for your creative muscles,’ MYO is brimming with inspiration and offers an oasis in which to relax and explore your creative side. With a library that overflows with books, how-to’s and inspiration, it certainly doesn’t disappoint.

With expert guidance, you’ll both learn how to design and create your own unique lino stamp, which you can then use to print on to a tote bag or tea towel. Using traditional lino cutting techniques and offering a relaxed and friendly atmosphere, it’s the perfect class for beginners or anyone wanting to know more about lino printing. Bring your own wine, prosecco or beer if you wish, or just make the most of the complimentary teas and coffees on offer.

You’ll each leave with your finished creation, plus your lino stamp so you can carry on the creativity at home.

What happens on the day?

On arrival, at your pre-booked venue, you’ll both begin by exploring the incredible library, home to over 1,000 books on arts and crafts. Then it’s on to the creative stuff – with the guidance of an expert teacher, you’ll learn about traditional lino cutting techniques and put your skills to the test with your own lino design, which you’ll print on to a tote bag or tea towel.

Bring along wine, beer or drinks of your choice if you fancy, or enjoy the complimentary teas and coffees on offer. You’ll both leave with your new creation as well as your lino stamp to take home.

Minimum age: 18

The venue is wheelchair accessible, but please let them know in advance so they can ensure sufficient room for wheelchair users

Availability

Creative classes run on selected evenings throughout the month, subject to availability. Typical start time is 18.15 or 18.30.

We recommend you book at least four weeks in advance to ensure that dates are available. All bookings are subject to availability.

Class size varies from 4 to 8 people.

Please allow 2 hours 30 minutes for the full experience.

What should I wear?

You are advised not to wear your Sunday best - aprons will be provided.

What about insurance?

The centres contracted with us hold public liability insurance. We also hold contingency liability cover. You will not be liable for accidental damage to equipment, except where damage has been caused as a result of recklessness or wilful negligence.

A cancellation indemnity, subject to terms, is included with every voucher.

How it works

All you have to do is pay for the experience you wish to purchase and we’ll send a voucher and booking information to you or directly to the recipient, then you just need to check the info and book your experience.
